Phyllis Arnold

Phyllis Ann Arnold, 94, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully February 7, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Phyllis was born November 20, 1928, in Starkweather, North Dakota to Esther Johanna Dahlstrom and Arthur Palmer Erickstad.

Phyllis grew up in Starkweather, a town and farming community in northeast North Dakota, and experienced different cultures and countries by living in post-war England and traveling in Europe. She continued her travels in the United States, lived in a half a dozen states, and raised four children: Allan, Janis, Donald and Elaine. Phyllis adapted to changing environments, understood current situations, and cared for those around her. Her subtle approach influenced how things got done. Phyllis’ belief in Jesus Christ as her savior accompanies her through everlasting life.

She is survived by her husband Arvey Arnold, siblings Clayton Erickstad and Sylvia Moorehouse, and many family members. Her immediate and extended family consists of eight children, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at 3:00pm, on Monday, February 13, 2023, at The Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO  80014. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm.

Phyllis will be buried privately at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
