Obituary

Peter J. Salli passed away on September 28, 2026, just days before his 83rd birthday, surrounded by the love of the family who meant everything to him.

Peter was born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 2, 1943, to Eino and Viola Salli. The family made their home in Watton, Michigan, where Eino and Viola raised their four children- Sandra, Peter, Lizzy, and Steve. In 1962, Peter proudly joined the United States Air Force, beginning a life marked by service, hard work, loyalty, and quiet strength. In 1968, Peter moved to Colorado, where his life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Pamela A. Salli. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and devotion. They raised two children, Chad and Jennifer, and later welcomed grandchildren who became an incredible source of pride and joy for Peter.

Throughout his life, Peter believed deeply in working hard and providing for the people he loved. He built a successful career in real estate with RE/MAX and also worked for Frontier and UPS Airlines. He didn’t simply talk about the importance of hard work, dependability, and showing up for those you love—he lived those values every day. Peter carried the Finnish spirit of Sisu throughout his life: a deep and enduring strength, determination, courage, and resilience. It was woven into who he was and remained with him until his final breath.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela; his brother, Steve; his son, Chad, and Amy Blakey, along with Ellia and Colter Blakey; and his daughter, Jennifer, her husband, Forrest, and their daughters, Jessica, Avery, and Addison Oldham.

More than anything, Peter loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man whose strength and presence could always be counted on. His greatest legacy cannot be measured by the years he lived, the homes he sold, or the work he accomplished. It lives in the family he built, the people he loved, the values he passed down, and the countless ways he showed us what it meant to live with strength, honor, and Sisu.

Peter’s presence will be deeply missed, but his strength lives on in his children, his love lives on in his grandchildren, and the life he built will continue through the generations that follow.
