Peter P. Florkey

Peter Florkey was born March 8, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at HCA Healthone Swedish, Englewood, Colorado. 

Peter was the owner and operator of Thrifty Pest Control which he founded in 1979. His career in pest control lasted for 50 years. He also served as state president of the Colorado Pest Control Association, CPCA, in the mid 1990’s. 

Peter is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois, sister-in-law Sharon Wozniak, brother-in-law, Irvin Wozniak, niece, Chenine Wozniak, and nephew-in-law, Scott Mook. 

Peter is remembered by family, friends, and customers as a kind, considerate, and caring human being. 

There will be no memorial service.
