Peggy Sue Selby passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on February 18, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born on September 13, 1933 to Shirley and Leroy Paschall in McAlester, Oklahoma. Peggy married Dyle Leroy Carman, and they had three daughters, Susan, Linda and Anne.
Peggy was a homemaker and mother, and she served as a Girl Scout Leader in troops of all ages. She worked in the family business and also was employed with McAlester public schools.
Peggy and family moved to Colorado in 1970 living in the Alamosa and Denver areas. She married Alton Selby in 1987. They enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Peggy was very active in the Foothills Ladies golf club. Peggy learned to play the piano as a child and enjoyed all types of music. Her girls would gather round the piano and sing for hours as she played. Her love of music was passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her daughters Susan Carman Janway and Linda Carman Petkash (Dale). She is predeceased by her daughter Shirley Anne Gavrich (Joe). She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather Roberts (David), John Janway (Gina), Michele LaTerra (Jim), Meighen Gilden (deceased) (Scott), Ian Petkash, and Evan Petkash (Jennifer), Adam Gavrich (Ashley) and Daniel Gavrich (Bree), and twelve great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2024 at 1 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
