Pauline Cisneros

May 8, 1927 — February 5, 2022

Lakewood

Our beloved mother Pauline Cisneros, aged 94, of Lakewood, CO, went home to be with the Lord and her dear husband Medardo Cisneros on February 5, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Pauline was born in 1927 to Floripa and Regino Valdez in Rawlings, Wyoming. After finishing school, she married her high school sweetheart Medardo Cisneros. Pauline and Medardo went on to have three children, Gerald, Karen, and Linda.

Pauline and Medardo were great role-models for the Hispanic community and touched generations of people by example through their groundbreaking creative entrepreneurship and property ownership. Pauline also helped Medardo run a Spanish-language radio station which was a long-running staple and important voice for the Hispanic community.

Additionally, as the strong and hard-working woman she was, Pauline worked faithfully for Frito-Lay for 45 years.

Pauline retired and savored her life traveling the world, volunteering in church activities and enjoying her family. She took great pride in faithfully serving the Catholic church and gave her children the privilege of a Catholic School education.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered as a woman that rose up from humble beginnings to become an empowered, graceful and classy woman. She is truly a role-model for generations of Hispanic women and an inspiration of what hard work and perseverance produces.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband Medardo Cisneros; her parents Floripa and Regino Valdez and sisters, Emerald, Clara and Annie.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children; Gerald (Susan) Cisneros, Karen (Gilbert) Montes-Martinez, and Linda (Randy) Say; grandchildren, Gail Ann Cisneros, Regino Cisneros, Billie Renee Mosley, Kevin and Eric Hillenbrand.  She is also survived by her brother Ray (Kimi) Valdez and sisters Ramona Valdez and Irene Valdez as well as, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 beginning at 4:00PM until 6:30pm with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6:30pm, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.
