Paul Louis Norman

Paul was born to Dave and Sandie Norman on June 8, 1972, followed by his younger brother, Marc Norman, on February 27, 1977. From the very beginning, the two brothers shared an inseparable bond and a deep friendship that lasted throughout their lives. Tragically, Paul passed away on August 30, 2026 and Marc passed away on January 26, 2020. While the sorrow of losing both our sons is deeply felt, there is comfort in knowing that these two brothers are now reunited in heaven where their eternal friendship continues.

After Paul graduated from Kennedy High School in 1991, our cousin Sgt. Frank Gamino, took him under his wings and prepared him for the challenges of the US Marine Corps boot camp. This was a pivotal step in our son’s life and we will forever be grateful to cousin Frank. Paul scored high in his Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and was allowed to select the Military Occupational Specialty of his own choosing. He decided to pursue his love of communications and technology. The US Marines sent him to MiraCosta College in Oceanside, CA. When he was honorably discharged on November 9, 1995, he began his career as a Lead Engineer in microwave communications from 1995 to 2002 and eventually worked his way up to becoming a Comcast Corporation manager in 2003-2026.

Paul’s interest in sports was fostered by his father who coached him and his brother throughout their childhood. He made the top 10 list of Senior All-City baseball players for Denver public schools in 1990. As a member of the Alameda Eagles Paul was part of a Jefferson County championship team in football.

His lifelong love of competing in pool tournaments began after his grandfather, Taffy Sandoval, taught him how to play billiards at an early age. He frequently played in singles and team tournaments at the local, state and national levels. Over time, he and his teammates placed in the top five rankings several times

Paul was diagnosed with kidney cancer in December of 2025. He began immunotherapy in January 2026. After his third infusion in April, the kidney tumor had shrunk by 40%. He was scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor the following week. We went out to celebrate the good news. The following day he woke up with a droopy eyelid. The oncologist told us to take him to the hospital immediately as this was a rare side effect caused by the immunotherapy. The side effects happen when the immune system becomes overactive and attacks healthy parts of the body. He spent close to three months in the hospital undergoing treatment to stop the side effects. Unfortunately, the efforts were not successful.

Paul was always surrounded by family and friends who instilled in him the values of love, respect, generosity, wisdom and humor. This influence allowed Paul to thrive and become the man that he was. For this, we thank his friends and family and ask that everyone keep a special place in their heart for our beloved Paul.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Marc Norman; his paternal grandparents, Alden and Katherine Norman; and his maternal grandparents, Taffy and Cora Sandoval. He was also preceded by his paternal aunts and uncles: Robert and Prescilla Kenney, Barbara Bassett, Alden and Wilma Norman, and Robert and Joan Norman; as well as his maternal uncle, Norbert Cisneros.

Paul is survived by his parents Dave and Sandie Norman; maternal aunts and uncles: Steve and Mercy Contreras, Gloria Cisneros; and, Toby and Trudy Salazar. He is also survived by numerous family members from the extended Norman, Crowley, Sandoval and Martinez families.

Prayer Service will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, 11:30am, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Committal Service will follow at 2:30pm that day at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
