Paul William Howes passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2026. He was born on September 30th, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to the late Edward and Kathleen (Johnson) Howes.
Paul grew up in North Denver and Arvada where he graduated from Arvada West High School in 1983; He went on to attend Bethany College where he played football. Following college, Paul joined the United States Army as a communications specialist. Paul was a proud United States Army Veteran.
Following his honorable discharge in 1987 from Fort Bragg, Paul continued his family’s legacy as a fourth generation piano technician. The Paul Howes Piano Company was built on a foundation of quality service and an immense care for his clients.
Paul’s love for tuning pianos was a gift that brought such joy, happiness & harmony to many who heard his beautiful & skillful work. Whether it was a famous artist at Red Rocks, Aspen Music Festival, the Brown Palace, a church, or a customers living room, Paul tuned them all equally with precision, making sure every note rang true. Thou he is gone, Pauls famous saying “business is about relationships” will live on in every ivory he touched & every note of any song someone played.
Paul is survived by his love, Annemarie; his children, Cole (Lauren), Alec, Abbey, and Aric; grandson, William; brothers, Mark, Steve, and Eric Howes. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews; and his special golden retriever, McIntyre. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Kathleen (Johnson) Howes and his brother Greg Howes.
Paul will be laid to rest at Fort Logan in a private burial for the family.
A service will take place on Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at 1PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home located at 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Malones Clubhouse Grill immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Collier Hospice Center.
