Obituary

Patrick John Jasper

75

April 9 1951 - Aug 11, 2026

Our family sadly lost Patrick John Jasper on August 11, 2026. He was absolutely adored by his wife, sons and grandchildren. The entire family lost a pillar. Everyone loved and depended on him for so much.

Pat was born in Columbus, NE in 1951. He was the fourth born of seven siblings.

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1969. He became a medical manufacturing supervisor at the age of 19. In the early 1980’s he moved to Colorado. He married Elsie Viginia (Jinny) McKinzie in 1984.

Pat continued his career as a medical manufacturing supervisor in Colorado until he retired at the age of 65. In addition, he opened his own business manufacturing custom trailers in the mid 1990’s. In retirement, Pat never stopped working. From home improvement projects to auto repairs, he did it all. He helped with his son’s home and car projects, and then on to his grandchildren’s activities. Pat was an avid outdoors man, spending time at his off-grid cabin, fishing, hiking and doing remodeling projects. He transformed the cabin into a wonderful retreat for his family.

Pat was preceded in death by his mother Claudia Placzek 45, his father John Jasper 85, older brother Greg Jasper, and his younger brother Charles Jasper.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife Jinny Jasper, sons Christopher and Jeremy Kuroda, daughters-in-law Melissa and Jill Kuroda, granddaughter Tylee Wu (Kuroda) and grandson Chance Kuroda, oldest brother Jim Jasper, older sister Joyce Heins, younger sister Jennifer Hollman, and youngest brother Randy Jasper.

We are so grateful he was in our lives for 45 years but his passing leaves a huge hole in all of our hearts.

We will hold a celebration of the Life and Legacy of Patrick Jasper at our home

(the home he built for us) on August 29th, 2026 at 4:00pm.

We are planning a GoFundMe account for Pat’s widow, Elsie Virginia Jasper. Any donation directly to her will be appreciated. Her expenses are overwhelming.
