Patrick Edward
Johnson
Jun 26, 1941 — Oct 9, 2026
Patrick Edward Johnson passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on October 9th, 2026. He had recently celebrated his 85th birthday in June with a joyous party with friends and family. He was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Algier and Mary Johnson. He served for four years in the Navy aboard the USS Springfield. He graduated college from St Cloud University and again from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Co. Patrick worked as a computer engineer until he retired in 2010 at the age of 70. He was married to Monica Hubbell and had a son, Bryan Johnson. He later married Sheila, a widow, and they were married for 46 years of happiness. Patrick accepted her son Scott Ingram as his own. Pat and Sheila spent their time together traveling with brother-in-law Terry Thompson and his wife, Jan, bowling, having game nights with friends and family, going to movies and attending concerts. Pat especially loved music. He especially loved music and could play piano, harmonica, guitar, accordion, violin and saxophone. He also loved hunting and made sure his sons and grandson knew proper gun safety. Sailing, woodworking, leatherworking and even sewing were just a few of his other interests. He was active in the community and volunteering, serving as chairman of the Broomfield Republican Party for many years, volunteered at the USO in their hospitality suite at Denver International Airport, tending to the soldiers during their travels. He also volunteered at Broomfield Correctional facility, educating prisoners to obtain their general equivalency diplomas to help them improve their opportunities as he was a mathematician extraordinaire. He treated all those he met with interest and respect. He lived life as if each day was a new opportunity to learn something. He loved his family and grandchildren beyond measure. He was a husband, a father, a brother, a Papa, a veteran, a volunteer, a patriot, a child of God and a very special soul and he will be missed. He is survived by wife, Sheila; His son Bryan Johnson and his partner Anna Korneeva; His son Scott Ingram and his wife Cassi; Brothers Mike, Lynn and Terry and his wife Patty; Sisters Peggy and her husband Don, Beth Schunke and Kathy Mercer; Grandchildren Krytal Ward and husband Aaron; Carl McCutchen and wife Miranda; Maddison Caballero and partner Madeline Whitney; Eva-Mae Ingram; Great grandchildren Mahayla, Camden, Corey and Marleigh McCutchen.
