Denver

Patricia Grace Tenneson (Pat) was born on January 1, 1929, in Valley City, North Dakota to Paul and Florence Cook. She passed away on December 31, 2024 in Denver, Colorado, one day before turning 96 years of age.

Pat grew up in North Dakota, living in Valley City, Bismarck, Grand Forks, and Fargo. She attended Fargo Central High School where she met her future husband Robert (Bob) Tenneson. They both attended North Dakota State University where she majored in Home Economics and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Pat and Bob were married in Fargo in 1951 and moved to Colorado Springs Colorado where Bob was stationed at ENT Air Force Base.

Their children, Suzanne and Tom, were born in Wichita, Kansas, when Bob worked for Cessna Aviation.

Wichita became their Home Base as they navigated several relocations due to Bob’s work with Cessna, Boeing, and Eby Construction Company. They lived in Englewood, Colorado; Manhattan, Kansas; Cheyenne, Wyoming; New Orleans, Louisiana; Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Tulsa, Oklahoma, coming back to Wichita between those moves. They moved back to Colorado in 1971 and made Littleton their forever home.

Pat made many friends during their moves. Keeping in touch with her family in North Dakota and Minnesota, as well as neighbors and co- workers from every state she and her family lived in, was very important to her. She was exceptionally thoughtful and made sure she always remembered birthdays, holidays, and special occasions for her family and friends. One of her favorite hobbies was visiting Hallmark stores, where the staff knew her personally, and to the Post Office to purchase the most current commemorative stamps. She also enjoyed attending antique shows, knitting afghans, hosting lovely coffee and birthday parties, displaying her family antiques, and dearly loved being with her grandchildren.

Pat truly cherished her family, dear friendships, and acquaintances, and especially appreciated them in her advanced years. She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and will be laid to rest next to her late husband Bob at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver Colorado. She will forever be in our hearts.
