Patricia Rendoff

November 17, 1951 — March 5, 2023

Patricia Ann Rendoff, age 71 died in her home in Denver, Colorado on March 5, 2023 from complications with COVID-19 and asthma. Patricia (aka Pat and Patty) was a graduate of Balboa High School in San Francisco, California. She attended Simpson Bible College in San Francisco, CA and UCD in Denver, CO, majoring in Psychology. At age 21 Patty met Ray Rendoff at the East Chapel in Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA where he was attending Navy Electronics “A” School. They married two years later and were married for more than 49 years (1973-2023). She worked for 40 years as a legal secretary for a few different law firms in Denver before retiring. Patty home-schooled her disabled son Aaron for 6+ years helping him graduate from high school. She also home-schooled several families’ children over a 10-year period.

Patty’s hobbies were riding on steam trains, reading, attending music concerts, ballets, and plays, and going to various museums, including the Denver Art Museum, Denver Nature and Science Museum, History of Colorado Museum, the Colorado Railroad Museum, and Forney’s Museum.  She also frequented the Denver Aquarium, Candlelight Dinner Theatre, and the Denver Center of Performing Arts. Patricia also supported Magic Moments.

Patty attended a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and Bible College when she first met her future husband, Ray. Her faith in Christ was the most important thing in her life and what attracted Ray to her and was the stronghold in their relationship.

She was an Eastern Orthodox Christian for more than 24 years. She attended St. Augustine Orthodox Church of Denver, St. John Chrysostom Orthodox Church in Lakewood, Colorado, and St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Greenwood Village. Patty was significantly involved with St. Catherine Philoptochos, the St. Catherine Benevolent Fund, St. Catherine Meal Angels, International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC). Patty co-founded St. John Chrysostom Orthodox Church in Lakewood, Colorado.

She frequented and supported the following Orthodox Ladies Monasteries: Protection of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Monastery in Lake George, Colorado and St. Paisius Orthodox Monastery in Stafford, Arizona.

Immediate family members still living and deceased: She is survived by her husband Ray and son Aaron and her sister Susie and her brother Bill and their sons and daughters, and by her nephew, Eddie. Patty was preceded in death by her parents Irene and Edwin, brothers Bobby, Butch, and Charles and sisters Kerry, Sissie, Joann, and Caroline.
