Patricia "Patty" Grace Carrozza

September 20, 1962 — November 6, 2025

Lone Tree, Colorado

Patricia Grace “Nanny” Carrozza (Scelza), age 63, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Lone Tree, Colorado. Born on September 20, 1962, in Bronx, New York, she lived a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She attended Ursuline School in New Rochelle, New York and Elizabeth Seton College in Yonkers, New York.

Patty was the beloved daughter of Frank and Anita Scelza, who preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Teresa Fisher (Roe), Andrea Lund (Ken), her beloved sons Christopher Carrozza (Marie) and Andrew Carrozza; her cherished grandchildren Sienna, Lena, and Nicco; and her former husband Gregg Carrozza. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Those who knew Patty will remember her as a fun-loving soul whose laughter came easily and whose kindness touched everyone around her. She had a remarkable ability to see the best in people and made it her mission to celebrate the lives of those she loved. Whether it was a wedding, birthday, anniversary, christening, baby shower, funeral, or any other meaningful gathering, Patty was there—often dubbed the “Vice President” of travel for her dedication to being present for life’s most important moments.

Her Italian heritage was a vibrant thread woven throughout her life. From preparing delicious Italian meals, making Christmas cookies or struffoli, decorating the most beautiful Christmas tree or engaging in spirited debates over who made the best sauce (or gravy), Patty’s roots were a source of pride and joy. She frequently returned to New York to visit family, share meals steeped in tradition, and pay respects at the cemetery to honor her mom and dad and other loved ones who had passed.

Travel was another passion that brought Patty immense happiness. She made several memorable trips to Italy but found her greatest peace near the warm waters of Florida’s Gulf Coast. No matter where she went, she carried with her a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—especially conversations with friends that revolved around the well-being of others.

Patty’s friendships were sacred. She reached out often just to check in or share a laugh. Her warmth made people feel seen and valued, and she had a special way of making every interaction meaningful.

In recent years, Patty faced significant health challenges with courage and determination. According to her doctor and friend, her fierce fighting spirit never wavered; she met each obstacle head-on with strength and an unshakable belief that she could overcome it. She refused to let illness define her life or dim the light she brought into the world.

Patty’s middle name was Grace—a word that perfectly encapsulates how she lived: with simple elegance, quiet strength, and boundless love. For sixty-three years, she was an integral part of so many lives. Her legacy of grace will continue to shine through those who were fortunate enough to know her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her. A Funeral Mass will be held on December 12, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm qt St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8035 S.
