Patricia "Pat" Wilma Mans-Boland

Patricia Wilma Mans-Boland, age 89, died peacefully while asleep in her home in Aurora, CO on September 15, 2026, surrounded by family. She was a graduate of Torrance High School and a member of the Delta Sigma Chi Sorority. Ms. Boland was a sassy, spunky woman. When listening to stories of her youth, she hinted at being a bit mischievous. In her youth she would frequently be found at the beach body boarding in the waves. After her children were grown, she enjoyed attending festivals and square dancing in full regalia. She loved to collect knick knacks and antique dishware. In her later years she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crochet and many other crafts.

Beyond her hobbies, Ms. Boland was also a very independent woman. While married, she worked to help put her husband through college, and continued working afterward to help support their growing family of three children. After her divorce, she maintained her example of a modern independent woman, including buying and paying off her own home. Ms. Boland had a long career with AT&T as a Technical Support Specialist, which brought her from California to Colorado in 1987, and she forever fell in love with Colorado. She was a great role model for our family.

Ms. Boland is survived by her 3 children: Denise Fink of Livermore CA, Jeanne Dommer of Aurora CO, and Walter Boland of Denver CO; her 5 grandchildren: Erin Garrison of Port St Lucie FL, Rebecca Owens of Aurora CO, Josh Jones of Montgomery TX, Wade Boland of La Veta CO, and Sean Lachniet of Las Vegas NV; her 6 great grandchildren: Luna Miller of Dayton OH, Brodie Nevis of Aurora CO, Daden Garrison of Port St Lucie FL, and 3 minor great grandchildren (known as the Great); and 1 great great grandchild (known as the Greatest). She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Irene Mans, and her brother Frank Everett Mans.

Next summer, her family will gather to celebrate her life and scatter her ashes into the ocean, a fitting tribute to a life well-lived, returning her to the ocean she always missed.
