Patricia L. Lawlor, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at North Suburban Medical Center on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Born September 22, 1952 in Muskegon, MI, she moved to Colorado in 1974. She married Nicholas J. Lawlor Jr. on June 21, 1975. They lived in Thornton, CO and Patricia worked as an x-ray technician at Saint Joseph's Hospital until dedicating her life to being a homemaker and raising her two daughters. Over the years, Patricia enjoyed creating personalized gifts and decorative items for friends and family as well as selling her creations at local craft fairs. She donated her time and talents to Warm Hearts Warm Babies, sewing and crocheting baby items for premature infants in hospitals, crisis centers and shelters across the state of Colorado. Patricia was also a member of her local Red Hat Society. While Patricia spent most of her life in Colorado, she had a fondness for the shores of Lake Michigan and would return to the beach whenever possible. She will be remembered for her kind heart, selfless nature and her quirky sense of humor. Patricia will be greatly missed by husband Nick Lawlor, daughters Nicole Violet Lawlor and Kelly Bresnahan, and siblings Kathy Hansen and Ruth VanDongen. Patricia was preceded in death by parents Frank and Betty Hansen. Services will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 29th at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. During the service, guests will be invited to speak and share any thoughts or memories they may have about Patricia. Following the service, there will be an informal reception with fruit and dessert.
