Patricia A. Doolan, 74, of Evergreen, Colorado passed away March 3, 2015 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Pat was born in Ithaca, New York on October 20, 1940, daughter of Robert and Edna Reed. She graduated from Nashua High School, Nashua, New Hampshire, in 1958 and Keene Teachers College, Keene, New Hampshire in 1962. She was a Special Education teacher for twenty-six years and taught in many places, retiring from the Ogdensburg Public School in Ogdensburg, New Jersey in 2002. Pat is a parishioner at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Conifer, Colorado. During the time she lived in Colorado, Pat enjoyed skiing, hiking and socializing with friends in the Evergreen Newcomers. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting Europe with friends right after graduating from college. In addition she lived in Panama and traveled to Ireland, China, England, France, and most recently, enjoyed a Caribbean cruise with other members of the Evergreen Newcomers. She was married to William Doolan for almost fifty years. What was most important to Pat was her family. Surviving family includes her husband, William, two children; Robert Doolan of Denver, Colorado and Lisa Mickey of Bakersville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Connor and Christina Doolan of Denver and Evan Mickey of Bakersville; two sisters, Pamela Lewis of Boynton Beach, Florida and Sally Dubrowski of Plymouth, Massachusetts; many nieces and nephews. A Vigil and Rosary in celebration of Pat's life will take place Sunday March 8, 2015, 7:00 pm, visitation one hour prior, at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, Conifer, Colorado, officiated by Deacon Jerry Kotas. Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, 9:30 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, celebrated by Reverend Timothy Gaines, Pastor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat's honor to Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice, 3081 Bergen Peak Drive, Evergreen, CO 80439, www.mtevans.org, or a charity of choice.
