Pastor Wayne Harper Dudley, a native Coloradan, born March 16^th 1946, son of Robert and Carmilla Dudley, loving husband of Patricia Dudley now joins his father Robert and younger brother Frank, as Pastor Wayne was gathered to Our Lord on June 4^th, 2019 after battling a series of health problems. He is survived by wife Patricia ""Patti"" Dudley, mother Carmilla Dudley and brother Robert.

Pastor Wayne wasn't always a Pastor, but his selfless and sincere desire to help others started early in life. Managing Fitness Centers and Graduating from Metropolitan State University of Denver afforded him the academic tools and credentials that would launch him into a most rewarding career as a Teacher. After a few years the Lord intervened in his Teaching Career and called him to service in the community as a Police Officer. He became a Police Officer for the City of Aurora and then the City of Denver and rose to the rank of Sergeant with the Denver Police Department. Teaching at the Police Academy he developed and implemented curriculum and provided training in handling cases with Infectious Disease. This work set policy and a new standard for Denver and many other police departments.

While attending Golden Gate Seminary the Lord called Wayne to the Pastorate at Smoky Hill Baptist Church. A culmination of life lessons, natural talents, a love of music, a voracious thirst for scripture, unconditional love for his fellow man and God's anointing prepared him for the task ahead. Pastor Wayne Dudley was the consummate Shepherd, Teacher and Leader of Smoky Hill Baptist Church for 16 years and to the end of his days.
