Pamela "M.G." Reader

Pamela "M.G." Reader, lovingly known to her family as "Baba," passed away leaving behind a vibrant legacy of resilience, creativity, and deep devotion to her family and community. Born at Ft. Riley, Kansas, to Walter and Dorothy Keinsley, she was preceded in death by her beloved mother Dorothy in 2000, and her much loved older brother Grey, in 2007.

As the daughter of an Army Colonel, Pamela grew up moving frequently in her early life and lived abroad before laying deep roots in Littleton and the Denver area. A spirited and wild soul, she met who she called the love of her life, Bill, while driving people to parties for extra money for school; together, they welcomed her son, Jason, in 1975. She was a lover and was married three times, but no one was ever spoken about more than Bill was. When life called for single motherhood, Pamela channeled her fierce independence into building a strong future. She took great pride in working hard and providing for her son, building successful careers at an engineering firm, Humana Hospital, and through her own graphic design business.

Her crowning professional achievement came when she poured her heart into founding Herbs & Arts Metaphysical book shoppe and herbal apothecary. What began near Evans and University grew through her grit into a thriving fixture on Colfax Avenue. Known in her spiritual community as Morning Glory Dragonfly, she stood as an outspoken Pagan trailblazer, High Priestess, master herbalist, Reiki Master, and fierce feminist. Co-founding The College of Wicca and Old Lore and the Denver Witch’s Ball, she served as a mentor, teacher, and spiritual mother to generations of seekers. In 2001, M.G embraced a peaceful new chapter at MorningGlory’s Itty Bitty Goat Farm in Arkansas. Tending her animals and walking barefoot through her gardens, she fully embodied her deep connection to Nature—living what she affectionately called "farm girl magick."

Most of all, M.G.’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her son, Jason, and her four cherished grandsons: Aidan (Stella), Xander (Autumn), Owen and Logan, along with their mother, Lindsey. Baba adored "her boys" beyond measure; her face lit up whenever they were near, and she treasured every story and adventure they shared with her. Her grandsons will forever hold dear her free spirit, creative spark, and deep spirituality. They loved her passion for nature and animals, but above all, they valued her generous heart, her authentic interest in their lives, and the quiet comfort of knowing she was simply, uniquely theirs.

*A tremendous thank you for everyone at Crossroads Senior Living who helped care and love on her every day; the love shown to all who suffer with dementia there will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name to the following: · Humane Society of Colorado or Dementia Society of America.
