Oma Lee Baugh

October 14, 1918 — August 8, 2021

Oma Lee Smith Baugh, age 102, passed from this life into the arms of a loving God on Sunday, August 8th, 2021. She was born on October 14th, 1918 on a small farm near Kidd’s Store, Casey County, Kentucky. Oma Lee was the third oldest of ten children born to Tommie Smith and Myrtle Jane Reed Smith. Her parents and siblings all preceded her in death. Oma Lee was married to Earl Thomas Baugh for over 50 years. She was a homemaker her entire life. Her husband preceded her in death in 1999 followed by her oldest son, Gary, in 2014. She is survived by her youngest son, Craig Baugh of Highlands Ranch, CO. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews with their families. These souls are her lasting legacy. After the passing of her mother in 1934, Oma Lee, only 16 years old, took over the responsibilities of caring and feeding her brothers and sisters remaining at home. Oma Lee was a woman of great faith who led her husband and children to share that faith their entire lives. Oma Lee loved to read, cook, and travel on trips within the United States. Her love for the warm weather of Florida led her and Earl to retire to Kissimmee where they were surrounded by all things Disney. The family will be gathering for their final goodbyes on August 13th at 5 PM at Horan & McConaty’s South Metro location at 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO. All are welcome. Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery on August 18th at 10:30 AM. Again, all are welcome.
