Olivia Sanchez

On May 6, 2023 Olivia Maria Sanchez was called home by our heavenly father she was 81 years old.

Olivia was born Aug 2, 1941, to Agapito Manzanares and Candelaria Velasquez in San Pablo/Los Fuertes Colorado where she grew up. Olivia eventually outgrew her little town of Los Fuertes and joined her siblings in the big city of Denver.

She met the love of her life Victor Sanchez in 1965 and they were married on July 22, 1967. They were blessed with two sons Victor Sanchez Jr and Vincent Sanchez.

She gained a beautiful daughter in law Mandy in 1993 when her oldest son Vic Jr and Mandy were married.

Olivia loved to spend time with her family and was devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma. She loved to travel to Blackhawk to play the slot machines and loved eating the delicious food, especially the cheeseburgers.  She loved talking on the phone and enjoyed conversating with friends and family.

Olivia especially loved spending time with her two grandsons Kevin and Alex and their families. She was blessed with six great grandchildren, and she spent every moment she could with her wonderful and loving family.

Olivia will be greatly missed by all whose lives she so richly blessed.

Oliva is preceded in death by her husband Victor G Sanchez Sr, her parents Agapito and Candelaria Manzanares, two sisters Lillian Garduno, and Katie Manzanares.

She is survived by her two sons Victor Jr his wife Mandy and Vincente Sanchez. Two grandsons Kevin and his wife Samantha and Alex Sanchez. Six great grandchildren, Jiovanni, Jakobi, Jaeli, Jhett, Nayib, and Catalina Sanchez.

One sister Lilly (Press) Roybal and two brothers Adelmo and Manuel Manzanares. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will by Monday May 22nd at noon and will be held at Phillips United Methodist Church at 1450 S Pierce in Lakewood CO.

Olivia will be laid to rest with her beloved Victor at Fort Logan Cemetery on May 22nd at 2:00 P.M.
