Olivama (Bama) Vigil was born on July 29, 1932 and left this earth to join the Lord on January 15, 2021. She is survived by her daughter Alfonsa (Duchess), her grandchildren Jeremiah (Jen) Fuller and Gabrielle Vigil, five great grandchildren, Isaiah, Aiden, Anna, Deacon and Caitie and numerous nieces, nephews and family who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Ricardo and Julia Vigil and all her siblings Alfonsa, Mary, Leo, Richard, Ruben, Arnold, Donnie and Arthur.
Born in San Luis, Colorado her family moved to Denver during WWII and settled in the Five Points neighborhood. First in her heart was the Lord and second was her family. How she delighted in the smiles and laughter of the children, listening to music and celebrating with her family and friends. Bama worked hard all her life spending many years at Aspen Ski-Wear. She provided many a warm jacket for family members. She ended her career working in food service for the Aurora Public Schools. She provided many a warm meal and befriended many students.
Bama will be remembered as a feisty, fun, and caring soul. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her Lord and her family with every fiber of her being. We will miss her with every fiber of ours!
