Oba David Johnson III

Oba “David” Johnson III, age 74, passed away September 4, 2024 at Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver, CO. David was born December 28, 1949 in Port Huron, MI son of Oba David Johnson II and Theone Bonnie Bell Hope. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kay Johnson; sons Aaron (Sarah) and Adam (Shannon) Johnson; four grandchildren, Quinn, Carver, Wyatt, Rosemary and many loving nieces and nephews. 

David grew up on his family's dairy farm in Lexington, MI and moved to Colorado in 1973 where he started his own landscaping and irrigation business. After selling his business, David became a real estate developer and investor including developing the neighborhood where he called home in Parker, CO. David was an avid world traveler, golfer and lover of life. He was often found in the mountains, his second home in Tucson, AZ and spending time with his family and friends.

His family honors the life and memory of David with a celebration of life on Saturday September 14, 2024 at his home in Parker, CO.
