Norma Crockett

December 15, 1936 — October 2, 2021

Norma Jean Crockett, 84, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on October 2, 2021. Norma was born on December 15, 1936 in Burlington, Colorado. She was the daughter of late Earl and Lelia Gard. Norma raised a wonderful family with the love of her life and high school sweetheart, David Crockett, for 58 years, until his death in 2015.

Norma's parents moved to Lawrence, Kansas and owned a farm. These were some of her fondest childhood memories with her late sister and brother Della June and Raymond. They then moved to Sugar City, Colorado where she graduated from high school and soon after became an X-Ray technician. Not too long after graduation she married David and they had children, which she stayed home to take care of. When they were grown she went into Accounting.

Norma LOVED to shop. If you couldn't get a hold of her, chances were she was out shopping, most likely for her great grandkids. Besides shopping Norma loved to garden and make floral arrangements. She was always so proud of her roses in her garden, they were so beautiful. It also brought Norma so much joy to host gatherings. She just loved having people over. Her parties were so detailed and extravagant. She was the epitome of what a great hostess should be, and she passed those traits down to her children and granddaughters.

Norma could light up a room with her smile and tender heart. She was one of the most thoughtful people you'd ever meet. When talking to her, you would have her full attention, because she truly, whole heartedly cared. She was so driven, wise, determined and independent. Norma was so sharp that her mind told her she was still 40. She touched so many lives in her 84 years and will be so dearly missed.

Norma is survived by her children, Sheryl Smith and Greg Crockett. As well as her two granddaughters, Stacy Evans and Heather Kennedy. As well as four great grandchildren, Reese Evans, Kaylee Kennedy, Riley Evans and William Kennedy. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments.
