Nora Marie Vigil

Our dear Nora Marie Vigil, 78, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home on Sunday morning November 16, 2025. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nora was preceded in death by her parents, Genaro (Jerry) and Louise Garcia, and her sister, Dorothy Mae Davis.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Dennis E. Vigil; her children, Nicole Vigil and Devin (Janel) Vigil; grandchildren; Vanessa Goos, Valerie Goos, Jonah Vigil, Josiah Vigil, and Lilianna Vigil. Nora also leaves behind countless extended family members and friends who cherished her warmth and generosity.

Throughout her career, Nora embraced her roles with profound dedication. She contributed to Honeywell International during the historic Apollo mission, participated in self renowned craft sales, provided strenuous skills as an independent cleaning professional, served as an Avon representative, worked in Tuesday Morning retail stores, and later joined the insurance industry with Generali Group.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Nora had a passion for finding the perfect gift and creating beauty in her home, especially during the Christmas season. Nora would endlessly scour stores with friends in order to acquire a treasured gift that made those around her feel special. She loved decorating for the holidays, always searching for the perfect touch to make her home festive and welcoming.

Nora was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. While her husband traveled for work, Nora took on numerous roles to take care of the pets, the house, and their beloved children. Once she became a grandmother, Nora joyfully contributed to care for all of her grandchildren. Throughout her life Nora was a social butterfly, making friends wherever she went. It was due to this genuine essence that Nora was able to surround her life with such a nurturing community. Those who had the fortune to know her can attest to the profound love, support, and guidance she granted that enhanced all of our lives.

As we honor Nora's memory, let us embrace in the everlasting love, light, and laughter she bestowed upon everyone she met. Nora will be remembered for her unwavering love for family, her cheerful spirit, and her ability to sprinkle holiday magic throughout the years. Our dear Nora will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Memorial Services Wednesday, December 3rd

Location: Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 900 W. Midway Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020

● Recitation of the Rosary: 10:30 AM

● Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM

● A Reception will be held immediately following the Funeral Mass, at the 

Arvada APEX Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada CO 80003

When approaching the APEX Center from the North (coming South on Wadsworth), it is very difficult to turn left. If possible, it is safest to U-turn at the light on 68th or 66th, or go up Vance.
