Neal Ervin Neff Sr. born in Winslow Arizona on December 19, 1937, died quietly in his home on December 20, 2024 he was 86. Neal was a skilled and excellent Mechanic his entire life and even owned a service station where he could use his talents to help the small community where he was living. He was also a very talented machinist and was proud to have machined parts for many of the Apollo Spacecraft which orbited the earth and the moon. He was a machinist for over 20 years prior to retiring.
Neal was an avid bowler, he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. Some of his best memories were camping trips with his family.
Neal was a devoted and loving family man and is survived by his four children, Nadine Brannon of Fairbanks, AK, Maria Elena Tomei of Thornton, CO, Neal Ervin Neff Jr. of Denver, CO, and Wayne Andrew Neff of Goldfield, CO. He had 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters and many-many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Betty Jane Sandoval-Neff, his parents Cornelius Hyram Neff (AKA Neal) and Myra Bates-Neff and grandson Randall Lewis Tomei.
Neal was a devoted and loving husband and a proud and dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. His commitment to his family was truly amazing and inspiring.
After retiring Neal worked with his ward of the LDS church doing genealogy for the church and with their help did some genealogy for his family. During his research he was able to uncover several years of linage not only for church members but also for his family.
Neal was a good friend and his kind and caring heart touched everyone he met. His smile warmed any room he entered and was contagious to everyone around him. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
