Nathan John Elliott tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on October 2, 2024 at the age of 19.
The beloved son of Shannan Elliott-Simmons and Michael Elliott, Nathan was born July 14, 2005 in Upland, California. Nathan had a large family in both California and Colorado, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them and enjoying all that both states have to offer.
In 2023, Nathan graduated from Eaglecrest High School in Centennial, Colorado with his diploma as well as a professional Certification from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills.
Having grown up solving Rubik’s cubes of all shapes and sizes, Nathan had already established a career as a machinist even at his young age. His love of working with his hands and problem-solving extended to his many hobbies and passions. Even though he spent the latter part of his childhood living in Colorado, he visited California to spend time biking and camping with his father.
In addition to anything mechanical and related to motorcycles, Nathan – or Nate, to his many friends – was an enthusiast of Spyderco pocketknives and Vans apparel. He also loved music, skateboarding, cars, and dogs… especially Corgis.
It was Nathan’s love of motorsports that led him to his twin flame, Ashley Von Colln, in April 2024. After Nathan and Ashley met, one was rarely seen without the other, and they loved hanging out with their families and friends, and going to car meets and other motorsports events on Nathan’s bike, “Shakira.”
Nathan was a kind person, and to know Nathan was to love him. He was a bright soul whose smile lit up a room. He had a huge heart and loved his family and friends fiercely. He was full of dreams for his future.
He is survived by his parents, Shannan Elliott-Simmons and Michael Elliott; maternal grandparents, Steven and Rosemary Simmons; paternal grandparents, Brian and Kathy Elliott; brothers, Matthew (Dana) Elliott and Justin Elliott; nephew, Levi Ray Elliott; father’s fiancée, Jolene Garcia, and her children, Sophia, Ethan, and Vivian; Uncles Raymond Simmons and Steven Simmons Jr.; Uncle Ryan (Raenelle) Elliott; Aunt April (Mike) Mendez; Uncle John (Janet) Panagos Jr.; Aunt Elaine (Greg) Clifton; and many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in whose hearts he will live forever.
