Nancy Ann Snyder

Nancy Snyder, 70, of Ken Caryl Ranch, Colorado, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on April 15, 2025. Nancy was born on January 22, 1955 in Lawrence, Kansas to Albert and Dorothy Soukup. A 1973 graduate of Machebeuf High School in Denver, Nancy attended college at Kansas State University, where she met her husband of 49 years, Mike Snyder. Nancy earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Washburn University in Topeka and went on to have a 26-year career as an elementary school teacher, during which she earned master’s degrees in both school administration and special education while also raising three boys.

Nancy was a devout Christian who lived a rich, full life. She was an incredibly devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She loved crafts, road trips, warm beaches during cold winters, and of course, her dogs. Nancy spent much of her childhood in Kansas, where her favorite place in the world was her grandmother’s home in Haven. An active mother and grandmother, she attended countless sporting events over the years. She also loved watching her grandchildren doing concerts and dance. Nancy always put her family first and enjoyed holiday family get togethers. She is survived by her husband Mike, sons Jon (Heidi), Zach (Coree), and Travis; grandchildren Josh, Mark, Caroline, Brynn, Kai, and Ella; and sister Mary (Brad) Johnson.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 24th at Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan, Kansas.
