Nancy Jean Oursler, 88, quietly and gracefully passed away at Eastern Star Assisted Living Facility on Sunday, July 30, 2016. The cause was complications from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. Born May 6, 1928 in Greeley, Colorado, she grew up in Minatare, Nebraska and worked at St. Lukes Hospital, Denver, CO as a registered nurse then managed the Central Services group until she retired. She loved to dance, sing and accompany her husband Dick on the piano. After her retirement she spent many hours designing and assembling museum quality quilts. She loved to walk and run and participated in the Boulder Bolder road race on many occasions; most recently she walked the race in 2007 with her son, Matt. She traveled around the world with her husband on cruise ships and trains. Nancy was a long-time, devoted Broncos football fan. Survivors include her sons: Richard W. Oursler, Jr. and his wife Cara Nakata of Telluride, CO, and Matthew E. Oursler and his wife Catherine of Denver, CO and their children, Kate Oursler-Horn, married to Brandon Horn of Phoenix, AZ and Brian Oursler of Denver, CO. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Oursler and her siblings, Harold Moss, Kathleen Creal, Dick Moss, and Phillip Moss. Services will be held at 10:30am, Monday, September 12, 2016, at Horan & McConaty 1091 So. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO. A private burial will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery later that day.
