Myrna Jensen

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we share the news that Myrna passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family.  Myrna was the youngest of three children and is survived by her older brother Robert, her dear partner Jim, her children Dori, Dixie and Raymond, their spouses, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Jensen. Not only was she an inspiration to her children, she was a loving wife to her second husband Bob who left us all too soon, an adoring matriarch to her many step-children and to Jimmy, Rodney and Charlie, the children of her sister Florence.

Myrna was born in Norwood, Massachusetts to Leslie Cushman and Lorine Mitchel. At the age of eleven her family moved to Denver where she resided for the next sixty-five years. Myrna graduated from South High School in Denver, married her high school sweetheart Raymond and started her family in Littleton.  Myrna worked in an optometry store for twelve years and then became an entrepreneur, starting her own business with her daughter Dori.  In later life Myrna rekindled her love of life and adventure with Bob Jensen, with whom she enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations and riding their bikes all around Denver.  She was active in her church for forty-five years and was one of the first women to be nominated as an Elder in her church.

Most of all, Myrna loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing nerf gun wars, going to the beach and swimming in the pool. Travel was another passion of hers and she always looked forward to visiting Longboat Key and seeing her timeshare friends every year. Myrna was also a true outdoor enthusiast. She loved camping, fishing, biking, paddle boarding, gardening, reading and music!

Myrna lived and loved life to the fullest and spread joy wherever she went.  She will be missed by us all.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2-3:30pm at Horan & McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.

A Memorial Service honoring Myrna's life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Littleton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 7400 South Windermere Street, Littleton.
