Michelle Christine DeNieu (Zack), age 43 died peacefully surrounded by family on March 28, 2021. Michelle was born and raised in Greeley, CO where she graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1996. After graduation, Michelle spent time in Grand Junction and Fort Collins before settling in Denver in 2000. There she began a successful career as an insurance underwriter with Colorado Casualty and ultimately became Underwriting Director with Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Michelle had a passion for music and was a talented artist. Her creativity, sense of humor, infectious laugh and loyal friendship will be sorely missed. Most of all, Michelle’s two greatest joys in life were her marriage to her husband Tim DeNieu and being a mom to their son Zack.
Michelle is survived by husband Tim, their son Zack, mother Penni Haimson (Rob), father John Zack (Karen), grandmother Alice Zack, sisters Allison Maness (Garret), Liz Rendel (Kabian) and Alice Lancaster (Meghan Feller), and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents Jerre and Irma White and Charles Zack all of Ault, CO.
A memorial service will take place at Horan & McConaty in Thornton on Friday April 9th at 10:00am, followed immediately by a reception.
