Michael William Tickle

January 15, 1962 — May 28, 2023

Michael William Tickle, 61, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away on May 28, 2023, after a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Mike was born on January 15, 1962, to Bill and Dorothy Tickle in Boise, Idaho. After graduating from Monte Vista High School in Danville CA in 1980, he went on to study Business and Computer Information Systems at San Diego State University eventually transferring to Colorado State University where he graduated as a proud CSU Ram.

After graduating from CSU, Mike landed his first job as a sales representative for PIE Nationwide where he remained for eight years. Mike’s most fulfilling career, however, came in 2009 when he joined Intoximeters as a Regional Sales Manager where he worked for over 14 years.

Mike was a determined, strong-willed man who worked tirelessly to help support his family.  While Mike loved many things nothing matched the love he had for family. Mike was especially proud of his son, Jack, and supported him fully in all his endeavors whether it be on the golf course, in the classroom or just being a shoulder on which to lean.

Mike was also extremely passionate about the outdoors. He could often be found in his kayak, riding his much beloved mountain bike (often with his trusty best buddy, his Shih Tzu Louie, tucked safely in his puppy-backpack) or traveling the U.S. playing golf with Jack.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Tickle and is survived by his son Jack Tickle, father Bill Tickle, his three sisters Sandy Pike (Glen), Linda Tickle-Degnen (Chris) and Debbie Smith (Phil) as well as many beloved nephews, great nieces, and friends.

Mike will be remembered forever by those lucky enough to know him as the most positive, loving, passionate, free spirit who always kept a terrific sense of humor and a unique sense of calm and resolve. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
