Michael V. Powers

Michael, 48, of Westminster, Colorado passed March 25, 2014. He worked for the Postal Service for 26 years and served as President of the American Postal Workers Union Denver BMC. Mike volunteered as a coach for the North JeffCo Jr. Baseball and St. Anne's Baseball & Basketball leagues. In his free time, Mike also enjoyed fishing and playing games. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Ethan & Moria and Lauren; parents, Michael Powers and Sharon Fresques; brothers, Patrick & Robert Powers; extended family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, March 30, 2014, 3-5 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 31, 2014, 10:30 AM, Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. Interment follows at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
