Michael Earnest Padilla

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Padilla announces his passing on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the age of 60 years. Michael was best known for his love of family and his faith. He was the king of dad jokes, and was always up for a laugh. He loved to collect die cast cars and bargain shop. He spoiled his kids and grandkids at every opportunity! Michael will be remembered by his soulmate and loving wife of 40 years, Rita and his children Carmelita, Tanya (Brett), Tiny (Michael), Sahvanna (Shane), Michael, Krista, and Dominic. He will also be remembered by his sixteen grandchildren Spencer, Austin, Zach, Hunter, Kaylee, Shantavia, Olivia, Jayla, Jalissa, Araiah, Owen, Aaron, Noah, Kerstin, Isaac, Gage, and his great-grandson Andre. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gladys Padilla, as well as siblings Cecilia Schrah, Gerald Padilla, Dennis Padilla, and Mark Padilla. He is survived by siblings Dolores Tapia, Therese Padilla, John Padilla, and Thomas Padilla along with a large extended family. A Recitation of Rosary will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 7:00PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014. Friends and family are invited to join prior to the Rosary from 5:30PM to 7:00PM for visitation, fellowship, and remembrance. A Requiem will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Victory, 2566 Sable Blvd. Aurora, CO 80011. Burial will immediately follow at 12:00PM at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 19600 E. Smith Rd. Aurora, CO 80011. The family would also like to invite guests to join them for a reception following the services at their home at 22613 E. Belleview Pl. Aurora, CO 80015.
