Michael "Mick" McKenny

Michael “Mick” James McKenny, age 65, died on July 2, 2023 doing what he loved, mountain biking in the hills of Winter Park.  He was born on February 5, 1958 in San Francisco, CA.  He was a graduate of the University of Phoenix where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  Mick's career focus was in Sales and Management. He helped create a very successful sales team at ESM, where he established many great friendships over the years. He moved on to Home Depot for a few years before starting his crowning achievement. 

Mick started his own franchise business at Floor Coverings International where he earned multiple Diamond Awards from the company. 

Mick especially loved his family and would bring plenty of laughter to everyone he encountered.  He also loved mountain biking, eating Big Bill’s Pizza, and the occasional dessert.  Well, let’s be serious, he loved his ice cream.  Mick is survived by his parents, Jim and Patty, his wife, Julie, his sons Mark and Jared, his granddaughter Skye, and his siblings Gary, Jeanette, and Joni.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  

Memorial services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Centennial on Monday, July 17^th at 11am.  Immediately following will be his interment in the Cremation Gardens followed by a reception at Mick and Julie’s home, 7920 S. Jasmine Cir., Centennial, CO.
