Michael J. Phelan

Michael J. Phelan was born June 23rd 1948 at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He attended Mullen High School graduating in 1966. He then attended The College of Santa Fe receiving a degree in Political Science in 1970. Michael joined the Army in 1971 and was deployed to Vietnam serving as a Military Police Officer in Saigon. After his service, Mike had several career opportunities including managing a store for a sporting goods company, becoming a police officer, then ending his career as a finance representative for automobile leasing company.

In his later years, Mike was heavily involved with both his parish, Queen of Peace and their Knights of Columbus Council.

Micheal was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Mary E. Phelan (née Weber) and Maurice M. Phelan both of Denver. He is survived by his brother’s Patrick Phelan of Scottsdale, AZ and Kevin Phelan of Salem, MA and his daughter Amy Loel Phelan of Los Angeles CA.

Please join us as the rosary is recited for the repose of Michael’s soul on June 3rd at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM.

Michael will be laid to rest with a private burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
