She raised two children during that time, Lucas and Jaime and has three grandchildren Alyssa, Braelynn, and Aria.

Melody was a certified aerobics instructor and yoga teacher and health enthusiast her entire life. She loved spending time at the family cabin, taking hikes and accompanying her husband Jim on his many fishing forays. She also loved reading novels, health and cooking books and setting up exercise routines. She loved being with her family and grand kids. She was very kind, loving, compassionate, forgiving and motivational She had a beautiful smile, infectious laugh and a can-do, getter-done attitude her entire life.
