Meggan Homme

Meggan Marie Homme left this earth on August 26th, 2022, after complications from a seizure.

Meggan was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in June 1980.  She was the only child born to Robert & Suzanne Homme.  The Homme family lived in Iowa and then Reedsburg, Wisconsin for several years before moving to Colorado in the spring of 1998.  Bob and Suzanne dedicated their lives to caring for Meg, as she struggled with cerebral palsy.  Even with her disabilities, Meggan was filled with sunshine.  She always had a welcoming hug, huge grin, and contagious giggle to share.  Meggan loved just about every holiday, but mostly Christmas with the lovely colors and lights.  She enjoyed car rides, fireworks, music, and spending time with friends and family.  Meggan participated in the Spectrum Day Program, St Thomas More Religious Ed, and various events through the Highlands Ranch Community Association activities program.  Meggan radiated joy and happiness wherever she went, and her smile could light up a room.

The last 8 months of Meg’s life were difficult.  Suz and Meg lost Bob to Parkinson’s last December.  Then in June, Suzanne suddenly passed from cancer complications.  Meggan’s heart was broken after losing her family and the home she knew for 25 years.  She is again in the loving arms of her parents, singing, dancing without a wheelchair, and spreading joy throughout heaven.

Meggan Marie Homme is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Suzanne Homme.

She is survived by her Godparents, Dick & Sharon Pauly; numerous cousins; and very special friends.

A memorial and mass will be held at St Thomas More Catholic Church in Englewood, CO on September 20th, 2022. Rosary at 10:15am with mass at 11am. Lunch reception following in the Padre room.
