Maureen "Moe" Thibault

Maureen (Moe) Marie Dougherty Thibault, 93 years old of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on January 26, 2021 from natural causes, and because....... "She was ready"!

Moe was born at home in Burchard, Nebraska on May 2, 1927. She graduated from Burchard High School in 1945. Right after graduation, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend The National Business Institute. She graduated in 1946 and jumped right into her first job at Standard Reliance Insurance Company, in Lincoln. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1952 "to meet men" (her words!) and that's what she did. She married Joseph Thibault on July 3, 1954. Moe worked for the Veterans Administration, The Air Force Academy, USDA Forest Service and then the Food and Nutrition Service, where she retired in 1992.

Moe had many interests and activities she enjoyed filling her time with, including.....walking, "running" the Bolder Boulder (from age 79-86 years), fishing, camping, Wilderness on Wheels, cleaning construction sites (broom in hand), watching us play volleyball and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, two brothers, five children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
