Matthew Deshay Patton

Matthew Deshay Patton was born April 10, 1988, in Nuremberg, Germany.  He departed this life on November 16, 2023.  Matthew leaves behind his parents Kyong and Willie Patton of Aurora, CO.-two son’s Jayden Dando and Jace Baudo of Denver, CO. Four sisters, Adriene Patton-Colorado Springs, CO. Shawna Livingston (William)- Raymore, MO.-Melinda Patton-Aurora, CO. Esther Patton, Aurora, CO.  He also leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews – Deandre Deans, Tyquana Pride (Garren), David Deans, II (Kayla), Faith Livingston, William Livingston, II, Jaivyon Patton-Taylor, and Brooklyn Tweed.

Matthew was an energetic and loving person that touched many lives in so many ways. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and so much more. He was a person that if asked for anything, he didn’t hesitate to give it with a smile on his face.  Matthew was thought to be a very dependable and protective big and little brother; he never declined to be there when he was needed whether over the phone or in person. You could always count on him and he didn’t mind putting your need before his.

Mathew played basketball and football while attending high school and college; in his later years the gym became a place of peace and comfort.  The gym was a wonderful opportunity for he and his son Jayden to have that father- son bond.

Matthew had a desire to help people from all walks of life as he was a Respiratory Therapist and played an integral part in saving the lives of others during the COVID pandemic. Because he had a Servant’s spirit, he cared for those less fortunate at the Denver Rescue Mission where he was a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. 

Words will never fill the void that will be left in the hearts of those that love Matthew, and he will be tremendously missed. His love and care for his family and others will always resonate to those that remain.  His smile and silly jokes will be forever remembered.
