Matthew F. Johnson

Matthew Fredrick Johnson was born On December 23, 1985 in Denver, Colorado and passed away on September 7, 2014 in Arvada, Colorado at the age of 28. Matt is survived by his parents, Terry and Audrey and brother, Jake. Other survivors include his Papa & Nana, Grandma Betty and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and girlfriend Catherine. Matt also had many awesome friends and we will all miss him dearly. Matt was baptized at Highlands Lutheran Church in 1992 and received his first communion in 1993. He attended Sunday school and served as an acolyte in the church during his elementary years. Matt played soccer and flag football when he was young; when he entered high school, Matt ran cross country and track. These were wonderful times with his running buddies. He was a huge Nebraska Cornhusker and Broncos fan and always loved to watch their football games. After high school, Matt attended Western State for a short time, he then attended Metro State where he signed up to attend a yearlong business course at Disney World. While there, he also worked at the Animal Kingdom Lodge as a lifeguard. Matt had various jobs in his short life and recently ventured into a new career that he was very excited about and the potential opportunities that awaited him. Matt's favorite saying was ""No Worries"" and although words cannot describe how much he will be missed and loved by his family and friends, we have ""No Worries"" that he will rest in peace safe in God's hands. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.
