Mathavi Nair passed away peacefully on December 16th 2014 in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by family and loved ones. Mathavi was born in Kerala, India, to Koman Nair and Kalyani Nair. She was the only child. She migrated to Malaysia when she was a few months old and married Balagopalan Nambiar at age 16. Married for 59 years until her beloved husband's passing in 2010, she is survived by 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Her passions included gardening, knitting, sewing, cooking, and most importantly, giving back to others. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts and won the trust of those fortunate enough to meet her kind, compassionate, generous, and gentle soul. While in Malaysia, she worked tirelessly to help individuals of all races in need. Her passion laid in the power of the human spirit and she often led by example by being actively involved in 24 charitable organizations and social groups. Her family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support shown during this time of bereavement. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished by her family.
