Mary Ann Lovato, age 88, passed away on March 10, 2023 after a brief illness from pancreatic cancer.
Mary Ann was one of seven children born to Roy Lifgren and Astrid Post in Shafer, Minnesota. At the age of 19, Mom took a road trip to Colorado with three girlfriends and decided to make Denver her home. There, she met her husband, Jerry Lon Lovato, to whom she was married for 56 years until his death on April 16, 2013.
She was employed with Raytheon Engineering as a Communications Specialist for 36 years. After retirement, the couple became more involved in the community within St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado. Mom was a member of the Ladies Charity Auxiliary and various other reception committees. It was at church where she found an amazing group of friends with whom she had her happiest times.
In 2021, Mom moved to Concordia On The Lake in Littleton. She loved her bachelorette pad, met new friends, and appreciated the warmth and wisdom of the residents and staff. We thank Concordia for all their support.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Geri Lynn Charnin (Kevin Faulkner) and Melinda Ann Paterson. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ashton Zeitlin (John), Emerson Semple and Cameron Faulkner, and one great granddaughter, Brooks Hughes.
