Mary Lou Widmar, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on the afternoon of July 21, 2026, at the age of 98.
Mary Lou was born December 6, 1927 to John and Artie Stubbs in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Mary Lou was married to Charles John Widmar, for more than 58 years until his passing in November 2004.
Mary Lou worked for many years as a caregiver and companion, a role that reflected her compassionate nature and genuine love for helping others. She loved to travel and enjoyed researching her family's history, preserving cherished stories and connections for future generations. Above all, Mary Lou treasured spending time with her family, creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Kent, Gregory and his wife, Melanie Rojek, and Scott; her granddaughter, Elizabeth "Biz" and her husband, Brandon Fouch; her great-grandchildren, Bellamy and Barrett Fouch; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Blake, and her five brothers: Thomas "Shelby" Stubbs, Carl "Dean" Stubbs, Marvin Stubbs, William "Roscoe" Stubbs, and Bill Stubbs.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to a charity of your choice in memory of Mary Lou Widmar.
