Mary Elizabeth Rossi

Mary Elizabeth Rossi, 92, a longtime resident of Denver, Colorado, passed away August 21, 2014 in Northglenn, Colorado. She was born September 8, 1921 in Belltown, Pennsylvania to Richard J. and Bertha B. Stuckey DeNileon. Mary and her large family resided in Denver on Grove St for many years. Mary married Albert Rossi in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1984. She retired from Continental Oil, now known as Conoco-Phillips on June 30 1982 after more than 27 years of service. She was very active in St. Catherine's Altar Rosary, AARP and the Early Americans. Although Mary was never a mother, she was an outstanding Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She attend their school functions, sporting events and supported every fundraiser. Mary is survived by two sisters, Bertha Whitehead and Louella M. Campling-Bauer; and many extended loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Rossi; sister, Helen C. Scutti; and brothers, Richard L., Henry H. and Robert A. DeNileon. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00pm, on Wednesday, August 27th at Horan & McConaty, 3020 Federal Blvd, Denver. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, on Thursday, August 28th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Blvd, Denver, followed by her entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
