Mary Claire Celeste (Krajewski) Olson passed away in Westminster, Colorado on August 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christy Olson. Mary is survived by her sister, Carolyn Theiler of Paxton, NE and brother Jim Krajewski of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Mark) McGlashan of Broomfield, CO and son Michael Olson of Lemoyne, NE. Mary adored her grandchildren Amber (Sam) Humphrey (Warren & Neva Mae) of South Fork, CO, Kyle (Megan) Haynes (Kellen, Kaden, Hollis & Colbie) of Frederick, CO, Erin Michaelis of LaQuinta, CA and Island Olson of Lemoyne, NE. She is also survived by many cousins, numerous friends and her beloved little dog, Marley who was her constant companion.
Mary was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, frequently spending time with her family and relocating to be closer to them. She rarely missed one of her Grandchildren’s life events and her famous “that-a-way” will forever echo in the background of family memories. Mary never stopped cheering for her family and friends.
In the 1970’s she was very involved with the Hyland Hills Hockey Association serving as Secretary and President. For many years she was a proud usher at Mile High Church of Religious Science. Mary loved traveling, especially the cruise life, having visited many countries over the years. She was honored to have worked for L.C. Fulenwider, Inc. for over 50 years. After retirement, she learned to enjoy the slow pace of living in a small town. She loved her flower gardens and cared for every feral cat that came across her porch. Dancing with the Stars will have one less vote this season.
The family would like to thank the staff at Keystone Place @ Legacy Ridge for the genuinely compassionate care they provided Mary in her final days, along with Canyon Hospice.
Mary had requested that in lieu of flowers, if people wished, to please make donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A Memorial page has been created at https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?px=8894147&fr_id=154020&pg=personal
A remembrance luncheon will be held in Denver on Tuesday, September 23 for her church/bunco/work friends.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lone Eagle Campground at Lake McConaughy. Green chili burritos and her favorite desserts will be served. Everyone is welcome.
