ARVADA, CO - Mary Anne Nagy, beloved mother and “nana”, passed away after 89 years of a life well-lived. She is reunited in Paradise with her husband, George. She is survived by her daughter Mary, three sons Jim (wife Donna), Bob (wife Kristi), and Paul (wife Sharon), as well as her 5 grandchildren Ashley, Caedon, Brendan, Zachary, and Tyler.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mary Anne attended Peabody High School. Incredibly devout in her faith, she was an active member in the convent before meeting and marrying her husband, George. Relocating to Colorado in 1967, Mary Anne and George eventually settled in Arvada to raise their four children. In 1984, she completed her coursework, obtaining her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and provided health care for those in her community until her retirement. Her sense of humor, spark, and kind and loving spirit will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community (80th & Vance) on Thursday, April 24th at 11 am, followed by a Graveside Service at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:00 pm. For those unable to attend in person, a video stream of the Funeral Mass will be available at www.spiritofchrist.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Anne's name can be made to The Nature Conservancy (www.nature.org) OR Trinity Missions (www.trinitymissions.org/)
