Mary Louise Saliba Marshall was a beloved resident of Sable Nursing Home in Aurora, CO. Mary enjoyed activities there especially bingo, spelling, singing in church every Sunday, and eating her favorite food - spaghetti. It was not unusual to walk into Sable and hear her distinctive laughter, as Mary enjoyed everyone that cared for her and her many friends and residents during her senior years. Born Dec 3, 1950 in Riverside CA, the daughter of USAF Col. and Mrs. E.J. Saliba, Mary spent her elementary and middle school years in McLean, VA. As a ""military brat"", she moved with her family in the late sixties to Honolulu, HI. It was there in the beautiful surroundings of Hawaii where she discovered her talent for oil painting. After graduation from Radford High School in 1969, Mary followed her family to Newport News, VA, where she attended Thomas Nelson Community College. In 1973, she married and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA where she managed a convenience store and gas station. Mary Marshall eventually relocated to Denver, CO. She worked for many years in her mother's gift shop, located inside Aurora Presbyterian Hospital. Throughout her life, Mary kept a very active exercise and diet regime especially after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her favorite hobbies included: all things art; the folk music of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez; and raising her Doberman Pinschers. Mary was a devoted daughter to her parents who have preceded her in death, Col. Ernest John and Mary Saliba; and a loving sister to her older brother, Dr. E. John Saliba, Jr. and his wife, Dr. Judy Falconer, of Evanston, IL; and a loving sister to her younger sister, Beth Saliba Knight Brown and her husband, Peter Brown, of Williamsburg, VA. She was fondly known as ""Aunt Lou"" to her niece, Virginia Knight Lapp and her husband, Jason, and their daughter, Zoe, of Winchester, VA; and her nephew, Michael John Knight, and his daughter, Summer, of Williamsburg, VA, sharing with all of them her love of art, music, and laughter.
