Mary Agnes Juarez age 84, passed away at home in Elizabeth, Colorado on Tuesday October 18,2022 surrounded by family.
She was born on April 20,1938 in Jaroso, Colorado. She was born to Jose E. and Maria N. Gallegos, the oldest daughter of 7. She was a shy farm girl who eventually became known for her typing and secretarial skills. She started as a typist and messenger for a Congressman at the State Capital during the legislative session. She preferred living in Denver, where she met Rafael E. Juarez. They married on January 9,1960 and had 4 children. After her fourth child, she rejoined the workforce by driving buses for the Douglas County School District. From there, she took classes in shorthand and began working for the Court of Appeals. She ended her career working for a colonel at Lowry Airforce Base when she retired in 1994. She and Rafael began traveling to Texas for the winters and eventually built a home in Los Fresnos, Texas where they lived many years until they came back to Colorado in 2012. They were able to enjoy going to Spain twice and to the Sanctuary of Lady Fatima in Portugal as well traveling through the Panama Canal. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be forever loved and missed. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Rafael her mother, Maria, and father, Jose, brother, Tony Gallegos, her beloved son, Gilbert Juarez and grandson, Nigel Alexander Juarez-Fitzgerald. She is survived by her children Ralph (Becky), Veronica (Bret), and Cecilia (Jon). And her grandchildren, Angelina, Brittaney, Christopher (Jennifer), Garon, Traci, Erol, Adrian, Diego, Azelea, Ian and Jaken and her great grandchildren, Yareth, Iker, Dakota and Carson as well as her siblings, Madeline (Tom) Quinn, Joseph (Sandra) Gallegos, Frank Gallegos, Ed (Terri) Gallegos and Genevieve (Luis) Munoz.
Recitation of the Rosary will be 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 30th, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Road Centennial CO 80123. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM followed by a reception on Monday, October 31st at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, Englewood, Colorado 80112. Interment will be following the reception at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver Colorado 80236 at 2:00 PM.
