Mary Therese Elliott

Mary Therese Elliott, of Denver, Colorado, passed away August 9, 2025, at the age of 96.

Mary was born on December 4, 1928, to Charles Anderson and Alicia McFadden, in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Denver, Colorado, and graduated from Denver University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Mary married Charles Robert (Bob) Elliott, DDS, on July 10, 1949. Together they raised three daughters, one son, and enjoyed five grandchildren.

As a young mother, Mary contracted polio and, despite a disability in one leg, the illness only served to strengthen her conviction to live a full and energetic life. She was active in hiking, rafting, skiing and tennis. She was a gourmet cook who loved to entertain. Mary also acted as the office manager for Bob’s private dental practice and, as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, supported her family’s many travels, adventures and activities.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Charles Robert Elliott; her daughters Kathy Elliott and Colleen Elliott; granddaughter Kristina Winch; brother Charles McFadden; sister Margaret Ann Linscott; and parents Charles Anderson and Alicia McFadden.

Mary is survived by her daughter Chris Winch (Daryl); son Stephen Elliott (Julie); grandchildren Derek Davidson, Travis Elliott, Samantha Elliott Nicholson and Sarah Winch; and numerous loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Mary was a lifelong, loyal Irishwoman. She will be sorely missed, but her feisty Irish spirit will continue to live on in those that knew and loved her.

Mary was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A private committal service will be held in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Denver. Condolences can be posted at HoranCares.com.
