Mary Elizondo

On Thursday, December 1st our beloved mom passed away of natural causes at the age of 88. She had a year long battle with her declining health.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Felix Gonzales & her second husband, Jesse Elizondo. She had eight children; Joe Gonzales, Adolph Gonzales (Deceased), Rose Ruffino, Ernest Gonzales, Jessie Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales (Deceased), Guadalupe Gonzales (Deceased), and Henry David Gonzales.

Our mom and her second husband late in years raised 4 of her grandchildren all under age 5 into their adult years: Christina Gonzales, Antonia Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales Elizondo, & Chris Gonzales. She was also preceded in death by her parents Casamiro and Rose Jimenez. Mary’s Siblings are Ned Peralta, Ann Rodriguez, Helen Martinez, Casey, Anthony, Leo, Lloyd, Larry Jiminez, Guadalupe Jiminez & Sofia Jiminez (Deceased). Mary was the grandmother to 47 grandchildren, 114 great-grandchildren, and 64 great-great-grandchildren. She also had 7 god-children along with numerous nephews and nieces. She was the family rock and never ever faltered in her faith. She never missed her daily prayers, even in the end when she was so weak. She will be in our hearts and minds forever.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12th 3-6pm, immediately followed by a Rosary at 6pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 13th 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W Ohio Ave, Denver. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
