Martha Louise Erwin, 92, passed away on December 29, 2014, after suffering a stroke. She was born on October 20, 1922 in Little Rock, AR, to parents Claude and Nettie Stripling. She grew up in Little Rock, graduating from Central High School at age 16. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Erwin. She is survived by daughter Kathy Erwin Hunter, son Richard Erwin (Candi), grandchildren Kristi (Hunter) Carleton (Nick), Robert Hunter (Mindy), Lynnea (Erwin) Ruiz (Joey), Scott Erwin and four great grandchildren. Services for Martha will be Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura St., Littleton, CO 80120. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Arrangements are being handled by Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122, where an online guest register is available at www.horancares.com. There will be a private family burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Martha lived in Littleton/Centennial for 65 years, and was married to her beloved husband, Walter, for 40 years, before his death at age 63 in 1982. She was a charter member of Arapahoe La Sertoma and a member of P.E.O. Chapter AM. She belonged to Littleton United Methodist Church for more than 60 years. She was the ultimate homemaker, and loved to cook, bake and do things for her family. She played in several bridge groups over many years, and she and Walter loved to dance. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S.
